The BLS course is designed to provide a wide variety of professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.

General Educational Development Test, is made up of four tests. These tests are designed to measure your proficiency in standard high-school subjects for anyone 16 or older not enrolled in high school. ... By passing the GED Test, you will earn a high-school equivalency diploma.
PCA Classes free
PCA (or Patient Care Assistants/Aides) work with patients under the direct supervision of doctors or nurses. CNAs work directly with patients and nurses, helping with the many physical and complex tasks for patient care. Jobs are frequently in hospitals , long-term residential facilities and nursing homes.
Driver improvement clinics $60 - Early bird $65 - Day of
Learn defensive driving techniques that can help you avoid and prevent crashes. These eight-hour classroom sessions are offered on site and driving points will be awarded once the clinic is completed.
Home Buyer education classes FRee
A homebuyer education course is an online or in-person class you can take to better understand what's involved in finding, buying and owning a home. You might be required to complete this course by your mortgage lender. It is a requirement of $48,000 down payment assistance plan.
Credit counseling FREE
Credit counseling is a process that is used to help individual debtors with debt settlement through education, budgeting and the use of a variety of tools with the goal to reduce and ultimately eliminate debt and improve credit scores.

STEAM
Come out and have some fun with...Science Technology Engineering Art Math. Weekly, after-school and school break options. Cost varies.
Learning pods
Small gatherings of students grouped closely by age, who meet with a teacher to learn together. Your pod can choose to meet 3 or 5 days a week. Cost depends on the size of group.
sol Prep/remediation
SOL tests are designed to assess whether students meet specific minimum expectations for learning and achievement expressed in the Standards of Learning. We offer one on one as well as group tutoring. Cost depends on number of classes and subjects.
sat prep
The SAT is a multiple-choice test created and administered by the College Board. The SAT measures a high school student's readiness for college, and is used to compare college applicants. One on one and group tutoring in various subjects and remediation are available.
Specific subject tutoring
Energetic teaching using valid and proven methods of learning and retaining the subject matter learned. Various topics and specific remediation are available.
Adult technology
Classes designed for adult new learners or re-learners that want to learn their way around a computer, cell phone or tablet. Topics range from Social Media to Microsoft Certification. Cost varies per class and group size.
hospitality
Learn from some of the best in Tidewater in the hospitality field. Instruction varies from janitorial to kitchen to wait staff.
